New Border Maker Cartridges!

On this rainy Friday afternoon, I am totally frustrated trying to "get to know" my Gypsy.  (For those not familiar with the Gypsy, it is a portable, personal design studio for use with your Cricut.)  Well, mine's been updating for almost 4 hours and I'm not sure if it's stuck or I'm supposed to be patient, which is just not easy for me.  So, I decided to post pictures to my blog of the 2 new border maker cartridges:  the wave and the banner chain....

Mountain Meadows Scrapbooking Weekend

We had an awesome time - as usual - at Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington.
9 scrappers arrived Thursday night, 3/29; and 7 more (and 1 Mom) arrived the following day. That is the most I've ever brought with minimum 2 night stays!

Bill, Anne, Dave, PV, and Tiffany all made sure our stay was wonderful.

I gave out some small prizes this time and the list of winners is:
pack of hand-made borders & embellishments: Lynn S
travel embellishments: Linda
file mate organizer: Judi
CM t-shirt: Robyn
die cuts & paper: Lynn R
Becky Higgins sketch book: Mary
purple paper tote: Yvonne
blue paper tote: Robyn

And my blog winner was Patricia who received a new (awesome) CM tape runner!

We - or at least some of us - even enjoyed a massage during our stay. I'd never had a chair massage.... I will definitely have one again!

Thank you to those that came ... it was so much fun... I hope you had a great time! :)

Scrap bags and place markers for the girls going to Mountain Meadows. I used the fonts on the cricut cartridges that Creative Memories sells. Each cart has 2 different fonts and I love them all. Can't wait for our weekend!

Honoring Mark

This is a sympathy acknowledgement card that I made for my Mom after my brother passed away last May. It was really a labor of love more than anything. I ended up making more of the same card for myself to send out. I made around 150. I printed the poem on vellum; I used blue cardstock to match Mark's blue eyes; and the poem was written by my great-grandfather, Oliver Winch, who lived 107 years. A tough thing to make, but I really felt I did Mark proud. He deserved it.
